Liberalism Is Totalitarianism
Liberals think that what they like should be mandatory and what they don’t like should be banned. As has been said, liberalism is totalitarianism with a human face. In most cases the things they want banned are not things they engage in, they just don’t want you to be able to do them. It’s not good for you. It’s too dangerous. It might hurt someone’s feelings. And since you don’t have the good sense to listen to me, we will impose a law to forbid you from doing it. Look at all these wonderful things government is going to do for you. But even though it is so wonderful we can’t convince you to do it voluntarily so we are going to pass another law mandating it. They want to play the adult and treat you as the child. But the Democrats are not your mothers and the Republicans are not your fathers and government doesn’t know best. Age res proprias tuas is Latin for mind your own business and was Ben Franklin’s preference for our national motto. Good advice in any language.
