Oprah said this when asked if the problem of racism in America had been solved:<\/p>\n
\u201cOf course the problem [of racism] is not solved. … As long as there are people who still\u2014 there\u2019s a whole generation \u2014 I say this, you know, I said this, you know, for apartheid, South Africa, I said this for my own, you know, for my own community in the South \u2014 there are still generations of people, older people, who were born and bred and marinated in it, in that prejudice and racism, and they just have to die.\u201d<\/p>\n
In one quick, thoughtless breath, Oprah added another tenet to Libthink: Not only are all racists white, but they also need to \u201cjust die,\u201d every last one of them. Once all those old, white racists \u201cwho were born and bred and marinated in it\u201d have died, then America will be forever purged of racism. Make that \u201cwhite racism,\u201d and remember, according to Libthink doctrine, that\u2019s the only racism worth mentioning.\u00a0 The racism that blacks might hold for non-blacks, that Latinos might hold for non-Latinos and that Asians might hold for non-Asians won\u2019t go away of course, no matter how much adherents of Libthink doctrine might wish it were so.\u00a0 There will continue to be the attacks that black thugs make against white victims, some of which (if not all) have to be at least partially motivated by race.\u00a0 That black vs. Latino racist conflict won\u2019t end after all those old white folks \u201cbred and marinated in racism\u201d die.\u00a0 Said conflict has been going on for years. You might have seen an episode about it on Oprah\u2019s show when it was on the air.\u00a0 What\u2019s that? You never heard about what happened to Cheryl Green on Oprah\u2019s show? Well, there might be a reason for that.\u00a0 Oprah, her brain steeped in Libthink as it is, probably didn\u2019t figure this tale of Latino-on-black violence was worth doing a show about.\u00a0 Green was only 14 years old when a Latino gang member fatally shot her in the Harbor Gateway area of Los Angeles on Dec. 15, 2006.\u00a0 Four years later, Jonathan Fajardo was found guilty of Green\u2019s murder. He was also found guilty of a hate crime, which means Green\u2019s murder was racially motivated.\u00a0 This wasn\u2019t a murder carried out by some old, \u201cbred and marinated\u201d-in-racism white person Oprah holds in such disdain. At the time of Green\u2019s murder, Fajardo, a Latino man, was only 18 years old.\u00a0 So Oprah\u2019s notion that racism is the exclusive worldview of the old and the white appears to be utter nonsense.\u00a0 In the early 1990s, a Korean-American named Joel Lee was fatally shot on the streets of Baltimore.\u00a0 Witnesses identified a distinctly not old and distinctly not white African American male as the shooter. At his trial, witnesses also told of the utter hatred he had for Asians.\u00a0 A predominantly black jury acquitted him. In spite of Oprah\u2019s delusions, racism won\u2019t end once all those old, \u201cbred and marinated in racism\u201d whites die.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
