Liberals think that what they like should be mandatory and what they don\u2019t like should be banned. As has been said, liberalism is totalitarianism with a human face. In most cases the things they want banned are not things they engage in, they just don\u2019t want you to be able to do them. It\u2019s not good for you. It\u2019s too dangerous. It might hurt someone\u2019s feelings. And since you don\u2019t have the good sense to listen to me, we will impose a law to forbid you from doing it. Look at all these wonderful things government is going to do for you. But even though it is so wonderful we can\u2019t convince you to do it voluntarily so we are going to pass another law mandating it. They want to play the adult and treat you as the child. But the Democrats are not your mothers and the Republicans are not your fathers and government doesn\u2019t know best. Age res proprias tuas is Latin for mind your own business and was Ben Franklin\u2019s preference for our national motto.
