{"id":1557,"date":"2014-03-09T21:21:44","date_gmt":"2014-03-10T03:21:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/patrioticfederalist.com\/wp\/?p=1557"},"modified":"2014-03-09T21:26:07","modified_gmt":"2014-03-10T03:26:07","slug":"amateur-radio-service-renewal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/patrioticfederalist.com\/wp\/?p=1557","title":{"rendered":"Amateur Radio Service (Renewal)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Application and renewal can be done at the FCC Universal Licensing System site <a title=\"ULC\" href=\"http:\/\/wireless.fcc.gov\/services\/index.htm?job=cft&amp;id=amateur&amp;page=cft_renew_amateur\" target=\"_blank\">HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The site is not very friendly, especially if it has been 10 years since you have logged in.\u00a0 If renewing, it will ask for your <em>FCC Registration Number<\/em> (FRN).\u00a0 If you are new you can create it.\u00a0 If you are not new, you probably have one and the site wont tell you this until you have nearly completed you application for a new one.\u00a0 An easy way to find your FRN is to search for you particular license. \u00a0 Go to the FCC ULS page <a href=\"http:\/\/wireless.fcc.gov\/uls\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/wireless.fcc.gov\/uls<\/a>\u00a0 and about the 4th box or group down, next to &#8220;search,&#8221;\u00a0 click &#8220;licenses&#8221; and query your call sign.\u00a0 You can also click <a title=\"Call Sign Search\" href=\"http:\/\/wireless2.fcc.gov\/UlsApp\/UlsSearch\/searchLicense.jsp\" target=\"_blank\">HERE<\/a>.\u00a0 Your FRN is on your License record.
