A Message To Our Members About The Deadly Massacre<\/p>\n

Dear Patriot, \u00a0 Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and to the families and friends of the victims affected by the deadly massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut. Many of our members are parents with elementary school children, making this senseless tragedy one that hits home even harder.<\/p>\n

There are no words to describe the overwhelming grief that pierces us to the soul.<\/p>\n

Today we ask you to join us in prayer, to stand in solidarity and in sorrow for the lives lost\u2026joined in faith for a brighter tomorrow. \u00a0 To honor those who perished, the Tea Party will observe a moment of prayerful silence on Monday morning, December 17th at 9:40 am. We ask you to join us in remembering the innocent lives lost and show our children that we are undivided in our resolve to protect them.<\/p>\n

May God bless you and your family and keep each and every one of you safe and protected.<\/p>\n

It took just moments for 27 lives to be shattered\u2026and those of their loved ones irrevocably changed. \u00a0 The events that unfolded in Newtown, Connecticut have only served to underscore that America needs more than \u201cmeaningful action.\u201d Our country needs an understanding of the core problem which drove the shooter to this violent act.<\/p>\n

Many are asking, \u201cWhy did this happen and how can it be prevented from ever happening again?\u201d \u00a0 While many questions such as this remain, one thing is certain.<\/p>\n

Too many have become mentally and spiritually numb toward society and toward the sacred souls of others. It seems some live without remorse\u2026with nothing but icy darkness inside.<\/p>\n

While this is a time that people are conflicted, we must understand this much: The true instrument of destruction was the absence of a moral core within the shooter and the lack of understanding of the sacred right to be alive.<\/p>\n

It appears the \u201cdeath culture\u201d is having a profound effect on many. It devalues society to the point where an individual feels no remorse taking the life of another or making a person a target for hatred and punishment. \u00a0 Because of this, the core issue is not a gun, but rather a tainted soul. One that is dark and demonized and cares only about a twisted expression of crime. That person will find a way to harm others because he or she possesses the will to kill.<\/p>\n

Rest assured that the Tea Party will continue to defend our Second Amendment rights and encourage schools to teach moral values based upon Judeo\/Christian principles. These are the very same principles on which this nation was founded and those which keep it strong. These values will strengthen the moral fabric of our nation and thereby repel the death culture that has seeped deeply into society.<\/p>\n

The cowardly, irresponsible and deranged acts of one shall not overshadow the tens of millions of responsible and honorable gun owners. \u00a0 The Tea Party shall continue to vigilantly bring awareness to any issue which challenges the security, sovereignty and domestic tranquility of our beloved nation, the United States of America.<\/p>\n

We must comfort the wounded, prosecute the wicked and teach the people the responsibility of their rights. Freedom demands responsibility, not the removal of rights so that none can be responsible.<\/p>\n
